During the darken history of the Sārnātha, many the famous solemn monuments which were built by Aśoka King, buried under ground for over years. A glorious period was forgotten and now it became the wildest remoted site.

History ruins seemed disappeared until the fifth and seventh centuries, two Chinese pilgrims Fa Hsian and Master Tripiṭaka Hsien Tsang visited Sārnātha. They narrated detail the other historical sites and Sārnātha where had ever more than 1500 monastics diligently practicing there.
