Subject: Charity event programs during the covid 19 pandemic at Sarnath, Varanasi 

Dear Venerable Bhikkhuni, 

On the occasion of 2565th Vesak ceremony to mark the Buddha Birthday, we are Sri Lankan monks in Jambudvipa Srilanka Buddhist Temple,  Sarnath, Varanasi,  conducted special prayer offering to the Buddha and extended our blessings for good health happiness safety to Venerable Bhikkhuni GIOI HUONG (Chief nun Huong Sen Temple, Seaton Avenue, Perris, California), nun disciples and all members of the sangha devotees well-wishers kindly accept our best wishes same time, we conducted merits transferring event in memory with gratitude late all the members of the Vietnamese sangha community and relatives well-wishers devotees of temples. 

Regard to your generous charity for victims from the covid 19 strategy in India, we are delighted to inform our actions as mentioned below: 

(1) Distribution of essential dry foods materials among refugees’ families streets wandering communities in around Sarnath, Varanasi (300 families)

with the financial assistance (envelops of Rupees)

(2) Distributing essential dry foods materials among jobless unemployed Indian families due to the corona pandemic lockdown situation of nearly 150 people with the financial assistance (envelops of Rupees).

(3) Distributing daily use foods materials to old age hospitals 

(4) Distributing fruit biscuit among 100 residents patients in old home 

with the financial assistance (envelopes of Rupees).

(5) Distributing masks, fruits, sweets, packages among refugees and poor children in Sarnath, Varanasi in nearly 300 parts.

We are forwarding here with some pictures and videos related to above mentioned programs for your information. 

On behalf of venerable monks and local communities, we convey our gratitude to venerable Bhikkhuni Gioi Huong of Huong Sen Temple and all donors appreciating your continuous kind attitudes and sentiments towards the tragedy situation in India.

While appreciating the dedication devotion and understanding regarding social welfare religious activities and propagation Buddhist culture exchange; finally, we are offering prayers for good health happiness safety long life of all the Vietnamese sangha members devotees well-wishers those who are extended helping hand for the benefit of mankind, specific in India.
