Time passes as quickly as a shuttle
Ven. Giới Hương, abbess of Hương Sen Temple,
Forty years—a lifetime
Inclination to ordain as a great nun.
Practicing under the guidance of the true Dharma
Thanks to a predestined relationship to meet a master,
Propagation to benefit beings everywhere
Following the ancestors, "ordained for a cause."
Ven. Giới Hương spent forty years in monastery
"Taking steps up to a wide land"
Keeping conduct as a nun,
"A body different from the lay Buddhist’s, for the sake of all beings."
Leading the life of a holy sage in a nunnery,
Not wasting a lifetime at the Zen door
Appreciating your valuable time,
From my heart, I respectfully praise you.
Morality spreads far and near
Spiritual fragrance offered to the Blessed One
Disciple engraves in the heart,
Ordaining is supreme moral merit.
The vow of self-benefit and other-benefit
Fulfilling the wish Gautama Buddha proved.
